Episode Overview
This Classroom episode is on Arts, a critically important aspect for the global church and mission. This episode is done in partnership with the Arts network of the Lausanne Movement. The goals of the Arts network are to catalyze and call artists back to the service of the church in global mission through their specialized, God-designed creative imagination, intelligence, and artistic abilities and gifts; to equip artists biblically in the role of the artist and artistic expression in life, worship, and ministry; to call the church to re-engage artistic kingdom servants for the sake of empowering culturally relevant worship, evangelism, and compassion throughout the world; and to assist current mission and church leadership to realize the reality that for the body of Christ to express itself fully in line with God’s design, the church’s artists must be involved as strategic ministry practitioners of the church. This Global Classroom helps fulfill these goals, and seeks to inspire young leaders, established leaders, churches, organizations, and movements to understand the importance of the arts in all their ventures.
