When it comes to cyberbullying, the victims, rather than the perpetrators, tend to be the ones who are disciplined. The larger church is at a crossroads and, in many cases, is passive on this matter.
Children and the young need to be cautious on the internet but at the same time their God-given freedom should not be infringed by the agents of the devil.
The discussions at the webinar will focus on how the larger church can respond to this pressing issue.
This webinar is open to all, especially the parents of teens and youth, youth and teen ministry leaders, church leaders and staff of parachurch organizations involved in youth and teen ministry.
The speaker, Rianette Leibowitz, has spoken on online safety to global audiences such as TEDx, the Global Leadership Summit, Campus Party International and META’s Youth Summit. In her book Raising a SCREEN SAVVY Child, Rianette empowers families to become responsible digital citizens.
This gathering will be hosted by the Lausanne Freedom and Justice Network and the Lausanne Media Engagement Network.
