Karen Bomilcar currently lives in Brazil, where she works as a health psychologist in public health and part-time as a clinical psychologist. She contributes as a writer to websites and publishing companies, and teaches at Seminário Teológico Servo de Cristo and Centro Cristão de Estudos in the areas of counselling, pastoral theology, and health.
Karen has a degree in psychology from Mackenzie University (São Paulo, Brazil) with a specialization in clinical and health psychology (HC-FMUSP). She also has a master’s degree in theology and interdisciplinary studies from Regent College (Vancouver, Canada). She was born in São Paulo and also holds Portuguese and Italian citizenships because of her family background. Canada also has a very dear place in her heart since she has lived in Vancouver (1997-1999 and 2011-2013). She is part of the Lausanne Younger Leaders Generation and dedicates her time to music (loves singing!), literature, travel, pastoral care, cultivation of friendships, discipleship, and mentoring.
