Leading with Courage and Competence: Women and Practice of Leadership in Complex Contexts

10 Jan 2024 Online

At the heart of this webinar is a multifaceted question: How do we become and remain the sort of female leaders who can go the distance without losing enthusiasm in the midst of trials and tribulations? What sort of competencies are needed to help us face the challenges our contexts present us with? And what sort of heart postures can sustain us in times of struggle?

In this volatile world we need leaders who lead out of a strong core of their identity in Christ. We need resilient women who are able to lead with courage and demonstrate in their own lives, families and ministries the practical outworking of the good news of Jesus Christ.

We want to start and continue a conversation around subjects that matter most to women who serve in all sorts of roles in church and beyond. In this webinar we will look at two important aspects—courage and competence (skills)—as we seek to both encourage and equip.

‘We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.’

2 Corinthians 4:8-12
